Education & Training
Harvard Medical School 2017 - 2025
Doctor of Medicine (MD) Health Sciences and Technology (HST)
Continued co-mentorship by Drs. Vamsi Mootha and Ben Neale. Led extensions of PhD thesis work alongside completion of clinical training.
Harvard Medical School 2019 - 2023
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Genetics and Genomics
Co-mentored by Drs. Vamsi Mootha and Ben Neale. My thesis work focused on using human genetics at biobank scale to understand the mechanisms of mitochondrial DNA variation across people as well as the evidence supporting a role for mitochondrial dysfunction in aging disease.
University of Wisconsin-Madison 2016 - 2017
Research Assistantship
Worked with Dr. Dave Pagliarini. Developed a computational tool to integrate transcriptomic and proteomic data with BXD cohort mouse lipidomics to interpret lipid quantitative trait loci and determine implications for fatty liver disease.
University of Pennsylvania 2012 - 2016
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Biology
Performed research with Dr. Robert Kalb. Investigated mechanisms behind how hexanucleotide repeat expansion in C9orf72 can produce neurotoxicity in cell culture.
